Almost one billion people speak English. It is the international language. In the future maybe almost all countries will use English. More and more people throughout the world are studying English. Many people come to America to study English. According to one Korean survey, almost 90% of Korean students want to go to America to study English. Why don’t they want to study in their own country? What are the advantages of studying English in America? There are several reasons to study English in America such as opportunities, correct English, and preparation.
First of all, studying English in America has a lot of opportunities. The opportunity of entertainments is a good reason. They can get advantages as watching sports. In the stadium they can discuss with other fans about the game, players and so on. Game commentary is in English, too. In a concert they can get advantages. There are many fans and if you follow the songs, they should know the English songs. And in the song there are figures of speech. They can study high class English. In addition they are able to study in daily activities like shopping, living in dormitory and so on. In shopping they use English which is learned in school. In their country they learn much English but they cannot use it. In America if they cannot speak English, they cannot live. When they negotiate, they need good and correct English. In the dormitory they use English also. With peers, they improve their English skills. When they have some requirements or complain to office, they use English and improve it. And then in friendship they have an opportunity. They make native friends. They have an enormous influence for improving English. They teach many things besides English like manners, culture, information, and so on. Students from other country help to improve English. They should try and strive to speak English.
Secondly, studying English in America help them to study correct English. They learn English from native teachers. They teach correct grammar with good examples. They can make us understand well. In speaking they teach us many things such as correct, good expression, and so on. Also they can improve listening skills. Everything is processed to use English. If they can’t listen well, they can’t get good a grade. Using a book is good for them, too. Textbooks are the best book for improving English skill. There are many grammarless and writings with explanations. Magazine is good for more cool English. And in article if there is topic which is interested in them, they can concentrate more. Novels are good for learning many expression skills. There are a lot of expressions like a metaphor, figure, and so on. In media they can improve English skills. TV is that we can attach easily. Especially news is the best way. News has to speak correctly and clearly. Therefore news is good for English. Radio is good for listening. We can guess meaning because of pictures, atmospheres, and so on. However radio is just listening. They are able to improve listening skill. In movies they upgrade English such as slang and cool speaking. Movie has many different expressions for daily conversations.
Finally, they can prepare their futures such as business, university, and friends. Preparation of business is their goal. They can enter America companies. They will get a lot of money and enjoy their life. They can enter a good company because in many countries if someone has America university bachelor degree, they can enter good company easily because of English. Furthermore, they can enter good America University like Harvard, MIT, and so on. If they have a Tofle score, it is easy. So they will experience advanced education. When they come to their countries, they will advance their education. Friendship is very important, too. After they make a friend, if they need information or something, they can help each other. Or if they make a company and want to export to other countries, they can help each other, too.
In conclusion study English America there are many reasons like opportunities, correct English, and preparation. Of course if they can study in their countries, it is a good way. However studying English in America has more advantages than their countries. Don’t you want to study English in America?

Journal Entry # 15 Write about your plans for the rest of the summer.

Firstly for the rest of the summer I will enjoy the America life. I have been here just 2 months. I have not traveled anywhere. So I will go to somewhere with my lovely friends. Secondly I should prepare to enter university. Maybe I will enter the university after summer. I worry about that I cannot follow a university class because my English is very poor. I will buy a voice recorder for recording lecture and read a book about my major. Finally I want to make good body shape. I don’t have any muscle. I need muscle and should loose my weight. Now I am a little bit fat. I will exercise continuously.

Journal Entry #14 Write about your experience at the Angel game.

On Sunday I went to Angles stadium with my classmate. It was my third experience in America. But Angle’s game was my first time. I really like watching baseball game in stadium because I can see the player very closely and enjoy stadium atmosphere. Actually our seat was a top. But I didn’t care because I have friends who can enjoy the game. Early I was enthusiasm. But I was getting tired and game was a little bit loose. So I started eating like hotdog, pizza, peanut, snack, and so on. After 7 innings, we could go to down stair seat. There was so nice. I could feel the player mind even though breathe. I really enjoyed the stadium atmosphere with our friends. It was my valuable memory. And appreciate Jimmy about giving a chance to watch good game.

Corona Del Mar is a wonderful place for many reasons. First of all, sunset is so beautiful. I have never seen like that sunset. It seems to post card. Maybe I cannot forget the sightscreen. Secondly, there are not too many people. Some beaches are crowded. Actually what there is few people is boring. I think Corona Del Mar was proper. Lastly, I was with many people who I love. It is not about the beach but Corona Del Mar is my first beach which went together with my friends. So, the beach is more special to me. Even though dainties of all lands and seas, if I am alone, I am not happy. Even if it was just a trip, but I can’t forget the beach which gave a lot of memories to me.
